Jamie Hileman-Butz, Barn Manager:

I started working at Timber Oaks Farm in 2000 doing a job that has brought so much joy into my life. I love taking care of the horses and believe that the best horse care comes from understanding both the body and the mind of the horse and treating them accordingly.

Good horse management means competently and pleasantly getting the best out of the horse in all seasons and on all occasions. The horse is a complex of systems and my goal is to learn all there is to know, which I feel is a key factor required for successful equine care. My philosophy is to let them play hard and have fun just being a horse and do my best to keep them safe and healthy.

I believe in honesty, loyalty, hard work, and always doing everything to the best of your ability.

The best thing about my job is: Everything!

Timber Oaks Farm is some place special! It has a pleasant and friendly atmosphere along with loving and caring boarders. The stable is filled with healthy and well mannered horses all of which I love dearly. My co-workers are a joy to work with and they are all efficient and dependable. My boss (Joel), who I like to refer to as a dear friend, is always appreciative of my efforts. He is very generous and caring, and has been influential on my efforts to continue to educate myself about horses and proper horse care.

Let us not forget Romeo and Juliette who are also very special to me and a joy to care for.

So, as you can see, Timber Oaks Farm is some place special!
